6 days in Krabi
An Enchanting, soul capturing town, surrounded by rugged beauty and magical beaches.
The time I had left in Krabi wasn’t much, I wish I could have stayed longer to experience more but alas.. it was beyond my budget. Nevertheless, I desperately needed to make the most of it so i did two more very affordable tours and got to explore other islands with a few friends.
Tours and travels.
As i mentioned in my previous post, off the coast of Krabi are numerous beautiful islands, like Maya bay, Ko phi phi, Hong islands etc. We chose the sunset tour for it’s golden hour allure obviously. It starts in the afternoon at 2:00pm till 8:00pm, dinner included at Railay Beach. We started off sailing past a few cave islands then we got to chicken island, (snorkelling stop).
There is a sand bank joining two islands and it’s truly a spectacular view if you get there before the tide rolls in.
Golden hour at Railay Beach
Railay beach is one of the most beautiful long beaches near Krabi town. Its only a 20minute boat ride from Aonang beach. A few tourists choose to hire a boat to the island which only costs 100bhat (return trip), after bargaining of course, but its totally worth the trip. Sunsets here are remarkable.
I went to Phuket for a day, what other way to spend it than to go parasailing on Patong beach? I was holding onto my phone for dear life while trying to sneak a snap of the spectacular view i was treated to at the top. Afterwards watched the sunset with Chang beer in one hand, and my camera in the other, and by night we went patrolling the lively streets of Patong beach.
A few tips for the party lovers looking for a great time in Krabi, top choice party hostel I would recommend is Slumber party hostel. Incase there are folks like me who like to have a great night out but not necessarily stay at the same place, choose a quieter hostel to stay at, and walk down the streets to the party venues/party hostels for a good time. The reggae rock bar has spectacular live music, whereas balcony party offers incredible rooftop beerpong and of course free shots.
This summarises my two week Thailand trip, I do plan on making a second trip there possibly this year, winter holidays and I hope to see more of this beautiful country.
